Old Brentwoods Cricket Club
The club is based at the society of Old Brentwoods grounds at Ashwells Road, Pilgrims Hatch, Brentwood, Essex, CM15 9SE. The club was originally founded for former pupils of Brentwood School but for many years has been open for all who wish to play cricket. We welcome players of all ages and abilities.
We run 3 teams in the Hamro Financial Essex League on a Saturday and one side in the Essex Sunday League, as well as sides in regular T20 competitions. In addition we have a four match tour (Brentwood Bunglers) to Hampshire and Sussex in August each year. The club also has teams in a number of indoor competitions over the winter, including an over 40s side.
The club runs an expanding colts section on a Friday evening for children of all ages, from those who have never played before to those with greater experience. We look to boost links with local schools to encourage children to take up the game.
The club is ECB / Sport England Club Mark accredited.
We run a number of social events each year using the Society’s excellent social facilities including an annual dinner where recent speakers have included Matthew Hoggard, Geoff Miller, Gordan Greenidge, Ryan Ten Doeschate and James Foster.
